The history of the Farm Oberstampfeterhof / Krahof
2024: We are ushering in a new era! With the complete renovation and the renaming of the farm – Krahof – we open a new chapter in the farm’s history. Under the leadership of young farmer Justus and the senior partners Martina and Andreas, we have created an incredibly special place in the heart of nature: a place for togetherness, a place for special and consciously experienced (holiday) moments, a place to dream.
So much history! Our farm has been around for several centuries and is still today our family home. We’re pretty proud of that. Now it has arrived in the present day and shines in new splendour after our renovation.
The South Tyrolean Farm Sayings
- Januar: Ist der Januar kalt und weiß, kommt der Frühling ohne Eis.
- Februar: Viel Nebel im Februar, viel Regen das ganze Jahr.
- März: Wenn im März viel Winde weh’n, wird’s im Mai dann warm und schön.
- April: Der April, der macht was er will.
- Mai: Die erste Liebe und der Mai, gehen selten ohne Frost vorbe.i
- Juni: Im Juni viel Donner, bringt einen trüben Sommer.
- Juli: Wenn die Schwalben Ende Juli schon ziehen, sie vor baldiger Kälte fliehen.
- August: Im August, beim ersten Regen, pflegt die Hitze sich zu legen.
- September: September schön in den ersten Tagen, will den ganzen Herbst ansagen.
- Oktober: Ist der Oktober warm und fein, kommt ein scharfer Winter hinterdrein.
- November: Sitz im November noch das Laub, wir der Winter hart, das glaub.
- Dezember: Dezember ohne Schnee tut erst im Märzen weh.
